A brand-new community watercolour painting workshop has just been launched in Murray Bridge, giving locals the chance to explore their creativity at an extremely affordable price.

Jess Van Enckevort of Murray Bridge is looking forward to sharing her passion for Watercolour Painting within the community.
The GSSA facilitator, Jess Van Enckevort of Murray Bridge, believes that workshops are a wonderful opportunity for beginners and hobbyists alike to learn new skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. “It’s all about encouraging people to have a go, relax, and discover the joy of painting,” Jess said.
Jess Van Enckevort will bring a wealth of experience to the workshops, from working within the education department to her personal passion for Watercolour Painting. Jess has spent years encouraging young people to experiment with different forms of art, often using painting to boost confidence and self-expression.
Her background in teaching creative skills to students means she understands how to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability. Participants in the new workshops can expect clear guidance, plenty of encouragement, and a fun, relaxed environment that makes it easy to try something new.
The program is designed to open the door to creativity for anyone in the community, whether they are looking to try something new, reconnect with art after years away, or simply enjoy a couple of fun and social afternoons.
The workshops are being hosted by Genuine Support Services Australia (GSSA) in their newly refurbished Activities Room at 6 Seventh Street, Murray Bridge. The two-session course will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm on Tuesday, November 25, and again on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
At just $25 for NDIS participants and $30 for members of the public, the course offers excellent value. The fee includes both workshops as well as a complete watercolour painting kit, meaning participants can continue their artistic journey at home after the classes.
With places limited, bookings are essential to secure your spot. Interested participants can register and pay through Jess at GSSA’s office, located at 6 Third Street, Murray Bridge.
